What if I forget to ask for forgiveness of a certain sin?

Redemption is a word associated with salvation that refers to the deliverance from all sin in its guilt, defilement, power, and liability through Christ’s sacrifice. Believers can find comfort in the fact that God does not keep track of their sins. The Psalmist knew this when he stated, “If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?” (Psalm 130:3) Imagine how incredible it is that “in him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1:7). And we can be assured that when God forgives sins, He blots out all sins—past, present, and future—forever “as far as the east is from the west” (Ps. 103:12; Is. 43:24; Acts 3:19). Never take this gift for granted, but rather live your life in reverent fear of the One who made you and has forgiven you of all sins (Proverbs 1:7).
